English FA Cup final
Arsenal are set to lock horns against Hull City Tigers in the FA Cup Final on Saturday at the Wembley.
The Gunners will have the best chance to end their 9 year trophy drought with a win against the lowly-rated Hull City. Despite Arsenal being the clear favourites on Saturday, the Wenger’s men will be well aware of the threat their opponents can possess to melt their title hopes – as they have nothing much to lose for.
Arsenal have finished their season with six consecutive wins and will surely be the better side on paper. Arsenal had defeated Wigan 4-2 on penalties through some Lukasz Fabianski heroics to book their Wembley ticket.
Hull City, on the other hand, have three successive league defeats and their last win was the FA cup dramatic semifinal win against Sheffield which had ended in 5-3 in favor of the Tigers, which helped them reach the Cup Final.
As Arsenal were struggling with injuries all the season, they have been provided plenty of respite with their starters fit and back to form. Theo Walcott was out for the whole season including the World Cup, so he will only be a spectator, while Jack Wilshere is fit and should at least make it to the bench.
However, Club Captain Thomas Vermaelen is out injured and semifinal hero Fabianski is expected to take the place of club no.1 Szczesny after starting every single FA Cup games this season.
Similarly, Hull City will be without their two main men – Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic as the striking duo are cup-tied. Likewise, Robby Braddy will play no part in the game and defender James Chester is doubtful for the clash.
The teams had met just few weeks ago which had ended in the favor of the Gunners with a scoreline of 3-0. There are some more positives to take for the North Londoners as they are yet to lose against Hull City in their last 6 clashes.
Predicted Lineups:-
Arsenal : Fabianski; Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs; Arteta, Ramsey, Podolski, Ozil, Cazorla, Giroud
Hull City : Harper; Rosenior, Chester, Davies, Figueroa; Elmohamady, Huddlestone, Meyler, Livermore, Boyd; Sagbo
